I viewed your site while sitting at home in Osaka, Japan. Beautiful photos.
Question: I’m wondering if Apple Australia will engrave one’s name etc. on the back of an iPod Touch? I’ll be there in early 2010.

It’s hilarious — the architect must have shares in cleaning companies — they have to hire five staff each day just to polish the silver walls — that’s all they do … polish the walls …. fantastic job creation!

Great review. It would be interesting to consider the economy of design and the idea of the smallest effective differences you describe in the store’s architecture in light of Tufte’s similar analysis of the iPod in _Visual Explanations_.

I walked by on the Apple grand opening on Thursday night and the lines were crazy.

I walked by the Apple sign in Chatswood Chase – not sure how grand this store will be it looks quite small.
