Cheb 2.0.1 - A taste of things to come?
When I launched Cheb 2.0 Web design blog back in October 2007, I had no idea it would become this popular this quick!
I was happy with the design outcome - I think it met what I was trying to achieve and made connecting with the audience so much easier. You guys let me know you were digging it - so apart from the recent mishap with our old web host (which out of good character, I shall not name) we were going very strong and everything was on track with Australia’s biggest design blog.
I never told anyone, but I was always going to play with a much cleaner, leaner, more article-focused design which was going to be released around Cheb 2.0’s six month anniversary
So, without further ado - as much as I’d like to keep it under wraps, here are some teaser screen shots from the latest design (which at the moment is still boiling away in the over). Stay with us - we will be adding a heck of a lot more content, more Photoshop tutorials, and a lot more ways for you to interact with the Cheb 2.0 community.

Sweet design, Cheb. I like the downward pointy arrow on the highlighted tab
Is the wood-grain finish a subtle reference to DailyWTF?

Oh thank you, you guys!
@ Taryn - Yeh, you can take the boy out of ‘tabs’ but you can’t take the tabs out of the boy
- but I did decide to give it a new twist. Re: wood-grain, I don’t want to reveal too much just yet, but let’s just say we are looking at something from ‘the top’

Nice work mate,
How bout a future article about why the need for a redesign, your thoughts about the design process, what thoughts you had to accessibility and usability with your new design. Would be great to see how a designer juggles all these issues with a real world site.
much love

Hey hank, thanks for the comment mate.. It has come a fair way since those screeny’s so it should be interesting to see how it all comes together
@Che - that’s a brilliant Idea - I was going to put together a little introduction to the new design as a post, but I will definitely look into all those topics..
Legendary! Thanks for the support people.

Cool homepages…
I love people who spend their times to give information to other people. You don’t have to write this article. But you did. Thanks my friend….
